At Fyne, we're obsessed with garbage that isn't garbage. North Americans send over 10 million tonnes of clothing to landfills each year, 95% of which could be reused or recycled. We are sourcing materials that would otherwise be destined for the landfill and giving them new life by making them into quality products.

Each pair of Fyne pants are made with PRE-ADVENTURED DENIM and individually numbered. Pre-Adventured Denim is post-consumer waste (used jeans) that are too damaged for the second-hand market. Usually, these jeans have large rips in the crotch, butt or knees but still have a lot of useable material. Denim is very durable because of its twill weave, so the undamaged parts of the jeans are still very usable. The jeans are sanitized, deconstructed and then remade into functional products. By buying Pre-Adventured Denim products, you give these materials a new life and keep them out of the landfill - nice work! Each item that uses Pre-Adventured Denim is unique and will vary in colour and texture.

Where do we get our material?

Fyne Products sources its material from Blenderz Garment Recyclers, denim drives and small denim retailers who offer take-back programs. Blenderz Garment Recyclers is an Edmonton-based zero-waste, zero-export textile recycling company. Their mission is to reclaim and recycle excess clothing, fabrics, and textiles from the general public, charities and businesses.

Fyne Products operates in the Treaty 7 Territory region of Southern Alberta.
